Gentleman of Rio en Medio - Infer

6. Why doesn't Don Anselmo reveal who "owns" the trees on his first visit to the lawyer's office? Was he being clever, or was he unaware of the potential problem? Explain.

Don Anselmo didn't reveal who "owns" the trees on his first visit to the lawyer's office because he was unaware of the potential problem. Just like Don Anselmo, any one of us wouldn't know what problem would occur in the future until it occurs. He didn't say it at first but as soon as their was a complain he explained who "owned" the trees. We can't tell what will happen in the future but when it does, we can always explain. Don Anselmo explained it sooner which is better than never.

  1. I totally agree with you, Onica. And if he was being clever, he could have taken the whole money in the first place, or even asked for more.
